1. Select text
Press the shortcut, paste.
Zecretly protects the selected text and puts it on the clipboard. A second press restores it.

Zecretly protects your files with placeholders and with amounts and dates that are shifted. Processing stays on your computer.
Some documents should not leave your computer in their original form.
Documents and emails contain names, addresses and amounts. Before you give a file to an AI, Zecretly replaces these details on your device.
Two ways to a protected document.
2. Right-click
Right-click a file or folder, protect it.
In File Explorer, a right-click is enough. The protected copy appears right next to the original, and Zecretly does not need to be open.

To protect files and text before you share them or upload them to an AI.
Yes. Protecting and restoring run locally. Keys are stored encrypted on your own computer.
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF, and emails in .eml and .msg format.
Open the protected file with Zecretly again. The local case file puts the real values back.
Paraphrases, text inside images and scanned PDFs without a text layer are not read reliably. With PDF, the layout is lost.
The current phase is for Windows first. Zecretly is coming to the Microsoft Store.
